Every single player should stand up today and pat themselves on the back. The players won it today. The football wasn't great but Aston Villa took their chances and beat Birmingham, as nearly all of us wanted.

Gary Cahill scored an excellent first goal for Aston Villa to make it 2-1 and Milan Baros got the other two. Chris Sutton gave the travelling Blues fans a little hope but they must have known deep down it was no hope.

Villa are now pretty much safe, all that is left to do is sack David O'Leary.
