It's not usually that we get linked with two players most people have never heard of, so today's our lucky day.

According to Fans FC Villa are keen on a move for Zimbabwean defender Zvenyika Makonese, who is currently plying his trade for South African side Santos.

Meanwhile, Villa's friends at the Birmingham Mail have again linked us with Jolean Lescott, brother of former player Aaron.

Apparently Roy Aitken was spotted at Molineux on Saturday and they reckon it's Lescott they're watching.

I know O'Leary is reluctant to get players from the Championship, but with a limited transfer budget he may have no choice.

But this purely speculation, so I'd wait til they've signed on the dotted line before believing it.
