Match prediction: Hull City

One thing I won't be doing is underestimating Hull this weekend and we can expect to hear a lot of talk from David O'Leary about how he and the players won't be taking this lightly but I do expect an Aston Villa win.

When we do win expect David O'Leary to be telling us that that was to put right the result at Doncaster and a lot of other blarney that we've come to expect.

Hull are currently 17th in the old second division and are struggling.

They've won one from their last five and lost three so it's about time they won again and I honestly wouldn't be that surprised if it was this weekend.

Aston Villa have played Hull 21 times in the past. Hull have won five with Villa winning ten.

We've played Hull five times in the FA Cup but one of those was a replay from a 1-1 draw in January 1956. The most common result in the FA Cup is 3-0 to Aston Villa, as seen in 1908, 1926 and 1999.

Like I said at the beginning I'm expecting an Aston Villa victory and because of the huge gap between the teams I'm going to predict a 2-0 away win, but a scrappy game.
