After this result we'll be using the formula that David O'Leary was so proud to boast about and we'll be telling everyone it's two points from a possible nine - then where will Aston Villa be?
We have beaten United 48 times, drawn 35 and lost 79. United could go second, six points from Chelsea if they win the game in hand tonight against Wigan and if they beat us this weekend - the only thing in our favour is going to be a full house - guaranteed when United visit.
It's amazing what a few suspect results will do for the supporters of Aston Villa but we've got Manchester United travelling to Villa Park this weekend and I'm fairly confident we'll be shown what football is all about.
For me it's not about a few good results in a season it's about seeing the team develop and play consistently good football. On Saturday we'll see good football because Manchester United know how to play it.
What we'll see form Villa is lots of long balls, erratic passing and probably Smiler McCann diving all over the place opening up space for United to go and attack.
It actually hurts having to write like this. You'd think our Chairman would do something about it as sitting where we sit now is not good enough. Actually falling this low is not good enough. Aston Villa should be challenging and not just for a UEFA cup place - with the right manager it is possible.
There has never been an easier prediction for me. Manchester United for the three points - if you get down to the bookmaker today or join up at Expext as you'll get excellent odds.
After this weekend and if we do lose we'll have a manager who has lost more than he has won - okay if you're in your fourth week but surely not your third season!
