Boaz Myhill: Villa reject

Well, it beggars belief that another player deemed not good enough for Aston Villa can sold for pittance and then attracts interest from teams willing to pay four times what we sold him for.

After Peter Crouch it's now Boaz Myhill.

The player we sold to Hull for ?50,000 is now attracting the likes of Arsenal and Wigan.

Californian-born Myhill is now rated by Peter Taylor at around ?2m. A canny piece of business if they can pull it off, although not quite as canny as turning Peter Crouch from ?2m to ?7m worth of player.

Look at Darius Vassell. What is happening at Villa? Why are players leaving us and then becoming great?

I think there's a problem at Villa and we can't afford to keep having our players leaving only to become better players elsewhere.

Why can't they be good at Villa Park? What's going on at our club? And with our coaching staff?

Whatever it is, it's costing us a lot of money and needs to be sorted.

Got any insight into this? Let me know luke@astonvilla.biz.
