Why Hendrie or Milner all of a sudden?

For years now I've seen pretty boy Lee Hendrie as a central midfielder with an attacking twist; I wouldn't call him an attacking midfielder but he likes to get forward, if you know what I mean.

This season I've seen James Milner play his best football as an out and out attacking right midfielder so why is all the talk right now about Hendrie or Milner?

Surely the question has to be who, if anyone, does Hendrie replace in one of the two central berths if he is to start again on a regular basis for Aston Villa?

Like Marcus said earlier this week if Smiler McCann hadn't scored people would be backing Hendrie to replace him, but he did score so that isn't going to happen - especially as O'Leary refers to Smiler as 'his rock'.

Last season Hendrie and Solano played enough times together and they didn't play in the same position so it appears to me that the emergence of Davis is keeping Hendrie out of the team - not that arrival or good form of James Milner or the option of Eric Djemba Djemba.

Like Marcus said and I have to agree with him, I'd rather have Hendrie in above McCann for a few games unless Davis is going to be rested.

The question today is who would you rather in central midfield - answer our poll question to the right.
