This rumour doesn't want to go away. I suspect however it is somebody just picking something up from a few weeks ago and rehashing it for a story.I have no doubt Knight has potential but is a 25 year old who can not even get into the Fulham team somebody we want at Villa Park? I think we have enough potentially good defenders.
I have no doubt he's a decent defender but at 25 you'd expect him to making his mark somewhere and if he isn't doing it at Fulham questions have to be asked and do we want to be asking those questions while paying him ?25k a week to live it up in Birmingham instead of London? If we're going to buy a defender Mr Ellis buy a proven older than 25 defender that isn't injury prone to help bring on the youngsters we've got - it's clear O'Leary doesn't know how to and if he's 29 or 30 you should get a few seasons out of him.
