O'Leary begs for last chance

David O'Leary is asking for one last chance. He's asking to be given until the New Year and then to be judged.

Not good enough for me I'm afraid because despite what happens he'll then be asking for the end of the season because he'll be wanting to throw more cash at the team in the January transfer window and let's be honest, it's not about stringing a couple of wins out of the next 8 matches, it's about consistency.

So, Aston Villa win a two or three matches between now and Arsenal on December 31st, does that mean he should be forgiven for where we find ourselves?

More importantly should we accept a little run as been good enough for Aston Villa?

I don't want little runs in the season I was consistency. Okay, at the moment I've got consistently bad football so I should clarify my point. I want a team that goes out and consistently plays as a team. I want a team that consistently goes out with an idea of how to break down a team.

I don't want a team that consistently loses, plays embarrassing football and most importantly I don't want a manager who consistently finishes in a worse league position every season.

Give him until the New Year and Aston Villa could be in serious trouble not even Harry Houdini could get us out of, let alone Terry Venables or Harry Redknapp who we'll probably end up with.

I'm banging the drum today and I apologise if it's too much but reiteration carries conviction and the message must be heard fifty times for it to be heard.

Don't get sucked in and don't believe the blarney, sign the petition to get him the sack!
