A rumour that first appeared yesterday has surfaced again today at Guardian Unlimited Football. The rumour is that David O'Leary is making eyes at Lee Bowyer of Newcastle.We've heard that the deal could be done if Gareth Barry is allowed to move in the other direction - not something we think would be a good idea but David O'Leary probably would.
David O'Leary is frantically looking for another midfielder and Graeme Souness is believed to be a long time admirer of Barry but we'd rather Barry stay and the manager concentrate on finding a new central defender - just our opinion. What are your thoughts on Barry leaving to make way for Lee Bowyer? Email
