Kevin MacDonald is available and ready to take over. The players respect him and he's got a background of winning things. I'm only suggesting it as a temporary measure but something has to be done soon - we have a crisis brewing at Aston Villa.
Okay, the likelihood is nothing will happen, not now anyway that due diligence is under way but it should.
I only saw David O'Leary get off the bench twice tonight. The first time was just after the Samuel yellow card and he was complaining about where the free kick was been taken and the second time was to complain of the hand ball given to Milner when David James kicked the ball against him in the Manchester City box.
He really has to get his priorities right. There were plenty of other reasons to get off the bench - all he had to do was look and listen to Stuart Pearce tonight.
Onto the match and if Darius Vassell played like he played tonight for half the games he played in a season for Aston Villa I wouldn't have wanted him sold.
I wasn't his biggest fan and his return for Villa justifies this but he really did look good tonight. A lot of that has to go down to him stuck in a rut at Villa but I'd put some down to Stuart Pearce after watching him communicate with his strikers tonight.
I was surprised that the manager took off one of our strikers for a midfielder when we're chasing the game but maybe he knew something we didn't. I'm convinced now that Berger is a waste of money and I'm surprised Bakke didn't start. He played well in the last game we won and dropping him for McCann is a bit harsh after the performance he put at Blues.
Overall, I didn't expect a win tonight but it was nice to see Ridgewell score and nice to see Taylor get a start. Which one of those gets the blame for the first goal I don't know - especially as you've got to throw Samuel into that mix - I think we'll just blame all three of them.
If anyone thinks Villa are not in trouble after nearly a third of the season wake up.
David O'Leary, just like at Leeds, is getting worse and some of you think he needs to have more money thrown at him. Wrong.
He needs to go and the sooner the better otherwise more money will be wasted and we'll go nowhere.
We need a manager to take us forward not tread water and anyone that thinks different, in my opinion, doesn't know what they're talking about.
