O'Neill in O'Leary out

Rumour has it that the Irish connection will not only be in the boardroom but that the new owners have already had contact with Martin O'Neill with a view to him taking over the Aston Villa hotseat.

If the rumours are to be believed the new owners are not only very astute business men but like football.

One thing they are going to do is not believe the blarney and they're going to look at the facts and the facts very firmly point to a new manager and who better then Martin O'Neill?

We'll see how it goes but it does go some way to explaining why Doug Ellis has not sacked O'Leary yet which if we all think about it is very surprising.

If we hear more you'll hear it here first.
