The News of the World are reporting that brother's Luke and Brian Comer have had a bid of ?5.60 a share accepted by Doug Ellis and the deal will be agreed on Wednesday.

The deal has apparently been done by lifelong Aston Villa fan Michael Neville with additional finance coming from two more parties, one a South African.

This is the News of the World but they do have a lot of details. They say it will be done on Wednesday so we'll wait and see.

The reports also suggest that if the deal is done a percentage of Comer Homes group profits will each year be given to Aston Villa, calculated to be around ?20m.

The two brothers are Irish which would initially be good for David O'Leary but it takes an Irish man to know when another Irish man is talking blarney so he'll be found out soon enough.
