Concerns over Bouma

Wilfred Bouma has told the official web site today that he is very keen to get back to playing for Aston Villa but he has raised a concern over his injury.

He said "If I have to wait six months, then that is too long. I want to show people what I am capable of as soon as possible."

Does the player know how long he is expected to be sidelined for?

He went on "I know I can do better and it will come if everything is settled for me in my life. But I know I have to be fitter to play 90 minutes on a regular basis."

It's going to take time for the player. It's not just about the 90 minutes, it's also about the recovery time. There is no doubt that the Premiership is a lot faster than what he is used to.

Hopefully this injury heals quickly and we can start to see the best from Bouma very soon.
