This would be great news for the Irish and Aston Villa.

First if he wanted to leave Villa wouldn't have to pay the remainder of his contract and second it's clear that David O'Leary can not manage a club team so it may be that he is best suited to managing a team that only gets together for short periods of time.

I for one would wish him every success if he decided to leave and all that remains now is to find out if this rumour is true (I pray to God that it is) and if he will do us the great honour and except the position.
