Aston Villa to recieve ?60mn. offer this week

Rumours are flooding in from West London that a mystery Russian consortium are about to make an offer of ?5.80 a share to Doug Ellis and all shareholders of Aston Villa plc.

I am all for this. I think it would be good for Villa and even David O'Leary must be thinking lightning is about to strike twice.

No names yet but if they are anything like Roman Abramovich then they'll be spending some cash and we don't have to be worried that they're only in it for what they can get out of the club.
