First things first, I'm saying this because the more I say it the sooner others will start to see it; David O'Leary has to go otherwise we will never get better.
Since David O'Leary has been a football manager his team has finished in a worse position every single season.
At Leeds it was 3rd, 4th then 5th. At Villa it was 6th and 10th. If Villa continue to play football like they did last night I wouldn't be surprised if his record continued to get worse.
There are so many questions from the match last night that I don't really know where to start. How about with; can the manager of Aston Villa please stand up? I ask this because Roy Aitken does most of the work on match day and from what we're told he does most of the work at training.
What has changed since David O'Leary became the manager? How has the football developed? How has the team developed?
There was a plus point from last night in James Milner. I think he will finally show the Villa supporters what a wide midfielder should do and hopefully the love affair with Gareth Barry will come to an end.
Barry is a better left back than midfield player and if it's Bouma or Barry, I'd go for Barry after last night, but the lad needs a chance, so we'll say nothing about that just yet.
Gavin McCann was useless again and why David O'Leary continues to play him astounds me. Sorensen deserves to be dropped after last night and Stuart Taylor should be given a chance.
Roy Aitken should get a pay rise for the work he does and Doug Ellis should look at the stats and sack David O'Leary, but that's only my opinion.
