Despite the club pitching it as one of the biggest days in the summer, it really isn't. However it is interesting and the BBC have just published the fixtures for next season.
First up for us is a visit from Manchester City, then a trip to Stoke. We have Newcastle at Villa Park for the last game of the season.
An interesting fixture for some is Liverpool coming to Villa Park on August 30th. I'm sure Barry will get a good reception from some and I'm fairly sure he'll not get a good reception from others, if the move does go through as expect fairly soon.
I would like to ask that nobody reproduce the full fixture list in the comment form as we've not got a license to do this yet, although in July, you'll be able to get the full fixture list from this website.
So, that's about it for the fixtures. You can click here to view them.

The Stoke / Hull fixtures just look really odd.
Hull!!!!!!! WTF
Stoke!!!!!! WTF
Sell outs I'm sure ;D
mickey86 are u a muppet, the blues went down! to the championship where they belong
its nice to have the last of the season at home this year even if it is New (id love it )castle.
we play blues on the 4th October Chelsea that is!
im at Hull uni and the only realistic matches i get to see are the first and second home games of the season maybe over easter if im lucky, so the hull game had to be put on over christmas while im back in the midlands didnt it!!!
as long as we finish above lfc, that way we can prove to brookside barry that he has made the wrong move, and every body at vp can say we told you so!
@cj0320: You are a muppet, can't you detect irony when you see it?
man city away? that is gonna be tough. hopefully its the city that played middlesboro an lost 8-1. i dont hav a lot of time for man city.
thanks cj0320, what would i do without you being there to correct me.
should have 'muppet of the day' award on here, ill award the first one to you mr cj0320.
It's a difficult start, but we should hit the ground running after our Intertoto cup exploits.
its sarcasm actually not irony
Great, hopefully we will have 11 players to put out on the pitch
@ big bad sierad
Yeah lol, although this "arugment" is pathetic :D
@big bad sierad: Should really check this first before commenting: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/irony
Mickey86's comment clearly consisted of, contained, or resembled iron.
i seen the list and there are a lot of hard fixtures to begin with. well they will be hard when you havent even got enough players! :D lol.
p.s. put CRASH at the end of your message if you like chips!
Mike s
Some are hard some are easy do you agree? Thats a good chap.
CRASH

LOLLERSKATES ~ agreed.
The thought of playing City and the Scousers so early is a worrying prospect already. They are both clubs who spent big last year and look like they will be doing the same again. We on the other hand have a manager who to me doeas not seem to want to push on and compete with these clubs. He's selling the family jewels and then shoppiong in Aldi for replacements. We can only hope that at some point he at least starts to buy as many players as he lets go. Come on Martin stop being such a chump and talk to Randy.
