I remeber a couple of years ago seeing a Man Utd shirt with "Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro" on the back it was Cristiano's first season and I've always wondered if it was an accident. As for Bastian Schweinsteiger, not a bad player to be linked with. |

Schweinsteigers more of a left midfielder than anything, I guess winger is probably close enough but central midfield is more something he could do if asked to. Still, like I said elsewhere, this is really only down to the fact MON went to the Bayern game. For all we know he wants to snap Michael Rensing the Bayern keeper, or maybe a nice Bavarian beer maiden to entertain the lads on matchday. |

I've heard that he can play right and centre midfield as well as filling in at right back. Also I hear he has a good shot on him. Perhaps a bit like Gardener then. |

talking of barry. I think he will leave but it leaves me asking that if he is going to leave now what was the point in signing a new contract when martin signed? I believe it could be to do with oneil convincing barry that world class players would be signed and it aint happened so barry now knows that he will be 30 at the earliest before he can play champions league. I just hope for his sake it doesn't blow up in his face and he ends up warming the bench. however, every cloud. if barry does go, the good player that he is, he does have a price and in the current market it has to be 15mn for that you can sign 2 rosicky's, hargreaves, carrick, a young ronaldo, queresma, van der vaart or 2 ashley youngs. this should be a big summer. no it MUST be a big summer or the barry issue may just become a recurring nightmare year in year out with our other best players. |

Can stick a goal from a long way out, kind of like Riise does, but does it more frequently and with more skill. Would be nice but i cant see him coming. If we get Nelson, a keeper (Jaaskalainen or Guzan), Milner or Huddlestone, an attacking midfielder (Van der Vaart or Diego or similar) a striker(Mauro Zarate or Bendtner) and a centre back (Kaboul may be worth a look) that would give other clubs nightmares and could be done for around £40-45mil, minus £15 for Barry, or swap him for Walcott and Bendtner (and/or Hoyte?). Tottenham, Newcastle, Liverpool and to a lesser extent Chelsea and Arsenal, will be letting some players go, some quality players who are out of favour with the current mananger, or cant play regular minutes and we should take advantage of that, but we need to pull the finger out and do it early |

hes right footed player who loves to play on the left of midfield or in the centre, hes a fast and better hitzlsperger, ive watched schweinsteiger play ywice at the allianz arena and hes killed his opposition both times...we wouldnt get him for less than 12 million though...and hes a munich boy through n through! |

i think he can play anywhere in midfield but usually on the wing. id be very happy to see him at villa park but i doubt it will happen i will be very surprised if it does, someone of that quality will probably end up goin to real madrid or somewhere like that |

Hes has mostly operated in a defensive holding midfield role. I lived in Munich and watch a lot of Bundesliga and 4 years ago I thought he would be the next big thing in Germany but for me he has failed to progress and I am not a huge fan anymore, not that I wouldn't have him at Villa just there are better, cheaper options(Sidwell, Howard). P.S. His name doesn't mean Pig Climber. Schwein is Pig but Aufsteiger is Climber. Steiger means riser but also charge-hand, overseer. So his name would mean a farmhand that looks after pigs. |

Apparently Liverpool have made a 10million bid for GB I mean are they taking the p**s or what its not on sky sports yet but its on football 365 and teamtalk I dunno about everyone else but if he wants to go and we are going to sell I think an offer of 10million is a bit of a bloody Joke.... If we sell GB then i will be very dissapointed!!! How can we move forward if we sell our better players. We need to start compeating with liverpool and pushing them as they are the most catchable of the so called big four, if we sell to Liverpool then not only will we be weaker, they will be stronger We will move further behind them they will also pull further away. Selling GB does not make any sense if we want to go places. He's got two years left on his contract, i would prefer to have him for two solid years and him to go on a free then sell him now.
