Right, if you didn't know, it's only a month until silly season, or to be fairly accurate, about a month and 13 hours until the transfer window opens.
I'm a big fan of the transfer window because it's where every day there is something to look forward to, even as an Aston Villa supporter and even if it does frustrate.
Some of you may remember that on August 22nd last year, with just over a week to go in the window, Martin O'Neill finally admitted that the 'value for money' signing was the wrong way to go and we all expected big things; it didn't happen last summer, it will this time.
Now, I'm not trying to sell season tickets for the club, because I've got a feeling they actually know it's all about the actions this time.
Those actions are on the field as well as off it; a good end to the season will see the season tickets sell themselves, a poor one and some might be looking to signings first and they'll probably not be fooled by statements this summer, despite all wanting to believe.
The signings however are coming, Martin O'Neill knows he has to spend and not look for the player on the cheap and I've got a feeling it's going to happen in the first week of the window.
So, to make it a little interesting, we're going to run a competition to win a replica shirt for next season. All you've got to do is predict the day below.
All you've got to do is write in the date, e.g. May 12th. If more than one person picks the same date, names will be entered into a hat and will be drawn on the day we get confirmation from the club that a deal has been done, not necessarily that the player has signed. Oh, only one entry per user name too.
As soon as the new shirt goes on sale we'll order it and have it sent - I'm also hoping that the Acorns rumour is true because we'll surely be able to buy the shirt without the sponsor on it, wouldn't we?
