Despite the win and the fine performance last weekend, as an Aston Villa fan I've become accustomed to not getting my hopes up. Therefore, I've approached this with some hesitation.
I still fear we'll play a decent team and revert to long and hopeful balls and despite all the positive talk from the players this week, talk is cheap, however positive and nice the sentiments.
Fortunately, we've got another team this weekend that is getting relegated and while Paul 'Press Record' Jewell will have his team up for the fight, there is a very solid reason why they've only won one game at home all season.
Now, while I've started off quite cocky about this match and I really can't see us getting beaten, there is always a chance Derby could have a good day and steal something.
They might only have won once at home, which coincidentally is also the same number of total matches won this season, but they've drawn five and they've got fight.
It all depends on what Aston Villa turns up. If it is the same Aston Villa that played last weekend, playing the same formation, then I think we'll probably score another four and maybe even more, but if it's the same team that played against Sunderland then Derby will have every chance at that point I mentioned.
So, to my prediction. I'm going to stick my head on the block and say that Martin O'Neill will pretty much let the lads go out and play like they did last weekend; attacking football with webcam Ashley allowed an almost free role.
If this happens I have no doubt we'll win so my prediction is three points and a step closer to where we need to be.
Saturday will also be interesting because Portsmouth have to deal with a Newcastle side that have finally started to win and Everton travel to our neighbours. Seeing as our neighbours are still not safe I wouldn't be surprised to see a draw, which would only help when you look at their run-in.

I agree Damian, its that crazy time towards the end of the season and there are few easy games. Thats why i enjoyed last weeks win so much. We should be too strong but then again we should be fifth on the table too. 4-1 Villa.
despite being away from home i don't see any reason not employ the same tactics as the bolton game. if our midfield 4 play like they did in that game we'll rip derby to pieces.
i think the players have turned the corner and we shouldn't see the team that went 5 without a win back again this season.
i see us winning easy.result= 10-0
the scorers you ask?
harewood = 10
I'm going for a win, but I don't think it will be a big score.
Derby only lost 1-0 to Everton in their last game, so they are no pushover. I'm going for a well ground-out, unpretty, 2-0 win.
Anyway, it has to be a win. I'm at a wedding on Saturday at Villa Park, with a room full of Villa fans (family) so they have to win!
Derby only have one target - not getting the lowest amount of goals in a season, that makes them dangerous IMO, but we'll still win
5 games 5 wins will surely get us intertoto if not uefa, its do-able
We have to beat derby i cant see us haveing problems against them no doubt dick head savage will be trying to break our players legs lets just hope reo coker gets to him first
A convincing win if he gives Ash the free role again.
37-0 Salifou wants the golden boot this year as he doesn't like Ronaldo stealing his fame.
