FA Youth Cup: Aston Villa 2 Chelsea 3
Written by Damian

10,891 people turned up for this match but unfortunately they saw the Aston Villa Academy team lose to Chelsea.

Harry Forrester got both goals but it wasn't enough for Villa despite the team creating more chances.

Chelsea took their chances whereas Villa will probably look upon this game as an opportunity missed.

The game ended 4-3 on aggregate and according to Jack Woodward the football was good. The game also finished with each side having a player sent off.

At the end of the match you could hear the crowd and as the Chelsea players were walking off they started to taunt the Holte End.

I must say, it was very impressive that so many turned up. Maybe next year, when the kids are a year old and wiser we'll go that extra match.

Aston Villa: Parish, Bradley (booked 40), Baker, Roome (sent-off 90), Clark, Hofbauer, Albrightobn, Bannan, Delfouneso, Collins, Forrester. Subs: Clancy, Dau, Weimann (for Collins 74), Grocott, Flanagan.

Went to the game, Chelsea mugged us off big style. Cheating is bred into them early at the bridge. Villa played well in parts, but Chelsea did dominate for large periods. Forrester and Bannan were class though.

Saying that one or two played well Bannan looks good seemed to have his hand in everything and Forrester looks the part great second goal curled it beautifully. Highlight of the night was the little number 7 at half time he had some good skills, lol

Went to game and full credit to the lads. I believe that at least three of the kids have a bright future with the Villa, which is not a bad return at all. Well done Villa faithful, support was great and a credit to club.

Just want to say also, well done to McAndrew, does not always get the praise he deserves.

Future looks bright.

i managed to get there last nite n not a bad game, forrester for the villa looked good hes definately one for the future n delfounso looks good aswel, good in the air. i know they are only young but the proffessionalism and sportsmanship from the chelsea players was poor, there kid who got sent off was wastin time by not goin off n when he did decide to leave he was walkin very slowly and as he entered the tunnel he taunted the fans with some hand gesture, there were two of there players who reacted badly to some challenges by pushing the villa players which in the law of the game if they raise there hands it should be a straight red but they didnt get it. i think sportsmanship and proffesinalism is somethin they shoudl be taught from an early age.

Went to the game, not sure about Delfounso - just looked like another Luke Moore to me, wanted the ball on a plate and wasn't prepared to go sniffing for it - you could tell by his body language he thinks he's big time already too - running infront of the other players in trainging - moaning about bad passes with that typical Luke Moore-esk scrunched up spoilt brat face!

Harry Forrester on the other hand - what a bloody star! I can see why we battled to get him, the kids a wizard! Pace, great control, eye for goal, good touch, encouraged the team throughout - a real young pro in every sence! Oh and Bannan was another good player, and our number 3, he a bit Martin Laurson erratic like - but solid all the same!

Well done to the Villa boys!

Number 3 is Ciaran Clark, the Youth Captain. Also Captains the England Under 17s. He's apparently a very influential player, and looks solid to be playing first-team football in the next few years.

i was at the game last nyt, and must agree wiv the above comments no.3 great at the bak forrester played superbly and delfunseo well lets not go there. but the highlight of the match has to be the last 10-15 minute of the game wen 25-30 villa fans gave it the all at the front of the holte and sang to talor(chelsea keeper) about his mom.> taylors moms a farmer taylors moms a farmer lalalalala

Don't write off Delfouneso just yet. He has been good throughout the year, he didn't play well but it is a bit early to pass judgement

Ciaran Clark happens to be a good friend of mine... He's also the England Under 19's captain not the Under 17's captain - I've also watched the highlights of the game, and it wasn't his best game at all!I also happen to know that he's turned down offers from several big clubs in the past and stayed loyal to the Villains - As they stood by him when he broke his ankle in the Youth Team by not releasing him or making him re-trial!
