Happy Slapper: Jonathan Zebina a rumoured target of Martin O'Neill
Written by Damian

I've missed my speculation post so I've searched and searched and found a rumour that we could be quite interested in Juventus right back Jonathan Zebina.

Zebina is French, currently at Juventus and if you're interested, there is a video clip of him to the right. I couldn't find one of him scoring or making a tackle so this is what you're stuck with.

You know, I think he'll fit in quite nicely at Aston Villa - I mean, we've been saying for a while now that we need someone to get stuck in. He looks like he's not frightened.

This is pure speculation but it was read somewhere else and we do need a right back, so make of it as you will.

Anyway, it's soon Saturday which means football and the pub. I'll start drinking quite early to help the day go a little quicker and hopefully I'll wake up just in time for a fry up before the main attraction on Sunday.

match report tomorrow from the pub while watching some other football. Up the Villa.

I dont think we should get him he could disturb the side with his silly ways would much rather us go for a younger right back to preferbly english but a dutch lad or 2 would be good

I doubt it would be a deal with Mellberg going the other way when Juve can just wait till the summer and sign him on a free. He can start contract agreements with them in January. They dont badly need him so why would they rip themselves off?

Would like to see this guy here though but my number 1 choice would be that fella Jose Botswana or whatever.

That's not exactly true that if he plays for juventus he won't be a bad player. Anyone remember they signed boumsong ? so i'd always be wary. Italian teams never sell players that are good unless they're always injured (i.e Laursen from AC) or are bad performers (i.e Boumsong)

What about Robbie Keane? Inter sold him and he's good and injury free.

At least he looks like hes a bit aggresive and if hes a right back id more than welcome him into the side. For the mean time get saliou in at right back see what he can do.

Meh Robbie keane's hit and miss at times although i wouldn't say no too him. But inter president did say somewhere a while back he wished he never sold him.

O'Neill has already said that he is interested in Boswinga from Porto so I doubt this is true.

Please please, not Zebina he is not what we need.
ANYBODY but him, he is to old and to much trouble!
But some one else from the colonies, ten years younger and with pace would be great. I have NO trouble with the frenchies. smilies/wink.gif
