Ramos is not joining spurs - i can confirm that for you. It will be Jose Morientes, ex Chelsea. I can confirm that now this minute Ramos has quit yes, but only because he wants a break from football. Watch this space |

| Typicaly when you dont see Jols team week in week out,you dont realise that he should have achieved the top 4 in his first full season,he made some grave errors specialy conceding last minute goals which cost Spurs the 4th spot that season and worse he never learned from his mistakes still carrying on making exactly the same mistakes...Put yourself into Levy`s shoes you invested millions maybe only second or third behind chelsea in terms of transfer fees paid what would you do? Jol didnt have what it takes to make that top 4,he doesnt know the feeling of being a winner..Jol is a nice bloke and nice blokes dont make top managers..Good riddance...sounds like when a blind man dies everyone left behind talk about his beautiful eyes. |

Contrary to my previsou comment, another runner for spurs job is Maxwell Bunting. He isnt as well recognised but i think he is fairly good boss gaffer |

The board are a joke, absolutely comically clueless and pretty much always have been at Spurs. Every now and then a man comes along who does something on the pitch, but the problem is in todays football world there just isn't the time to build. Many fans just want it now, and the premise of a 5 year plan is obsolete. You get 2 seasons at Spurs maybe 3 to achieve a phantom target that is generally unrealistic or you're out. This means Spurs will go round in circles forever until we get a chairman who has a spectrum of abilities which is very rare. We were lucky getting Jol. The chairman actually appointed Arnesen/Santini, and it failed. Jol was there and showed he could do the job straight away. Unfortunately the board thought appointing a man to undemine him would be a good idea and they were right. They'll do it over and over until they sell up and go away happy that they have made big profits, all the while the embarrassing situations we find ourselves in at Spurs will continue and us fans have to take it on the chin, and they know that they'll always sell out the ground whatever they do so what do they care what we think? Jol given control, time and genuine backing would have been a big success in my opinion. They can get Capello/Mourinho whoever. It doesn't matter who it is, if you are going to run a club like this then you will always fail, so Ramos can come, taste life at Spurs for a while and at some stage will go back to Spain glad to be out of there, and us fans will just have to accept whatever happens regardless. So Ramos has 2 years and if he hasn't finished in the top 4 then he will be a failure because of his starting point. Jol's starting point was a club that finishes probably on average 11th, his average was 5th and that is not good enough so anybody who comes in has to achieve more in the same time Jol had. Top 3 next season will only do then! It's a joke. My prediction. Spurs wont finish in the top 5 again for at least the next 3 years and we will all be crying wondering why we let Mr Tottenham MK2 go. Shameful. |

| You have got to be kidding, first of all what has it got to with Villa anyway and secondly, don't you think David O'leary or John gregory deserved more time at your place or any one of the numerous coaches you have had in place over the years?..Surely deadly Doug and your board should have supported them, don't you think? |

If it was any club other than Spurs then I think it might have been a suprise, they do seem to have an amazing ability to shoot themselves in the foot. Also, to those Villans who've recently been knocking MoN take note, no club has a right to be top of the table and money doesn't guarantee success. I think the way Villa are heading is the right way and I'm glad our chairman isn't Daniel Levy, sticking his oar (and his director of football) in at every opportunity. |

| Too be honest martin jol started to manage a team above his own abilities. he has made tottenham into a major side in the prem by bringing in quality players. but now tot are at a level were they need fresh blood to push them into a top four team. |

| I think Ramos will make Spurs slightly too big for themselves. He may have some good contacts but eventually the egos of the players he buys will destroy the club. As it's now doing to Chelsea.. |

| It may work in our favour, a new manager going to spurs could peg them a back a season allowing us to cloase the gap. |

It Could work in our favor in more than one way we could hopefully try to sign defoe in january now as ramos favours big strikers (kanoute and fabiano expect one at the lane this january) also there could be a settling period or he could just launch spurs season and they break the top four which they're capable of. Either way i think Jol had pushed all his buttons while in management of spurs and ramos offers something else to that team but only time will tell if he's to be succesful or not. |
