It's not news but what I'm sure is soon to become a solid footballing rumour, mostly because it's not the first time we've heard that Nicolae Dica may become an Aston Villa one day soon.

In January Sky Sports told us that we were interested and Dan Petrescu even said something along the lines that he'd do well at Villa.

I think I've said this before but I don't recall ever seeing him play but the video to the right is now showing a few of his goals and they look decent enough.

The thing and there is always a thing, this is just a rumour. The Mirror have people specifically there to look at football websites six months ago and resurrect old rumours. Oliver Holt is one of them and whoever wrote this is also one.

Rumour likelihood: if I had to put money on it I'd risk a fiver, but as most of you know I don't bet with my own money. It wouldn't surprise me but at the same time it would.

I'd prefer someone with more premiership experience to sign in january. This all rings of Angel again this whole dica thing, Buy Defoe and Ashton and sell marlon nogood. Keep Petrov as a sub and sign Bentley for down the right or millner. Rb it's either hoyte or Bosingwa. LB as back up Wayne Bridge. Also Sign Carson for 10 or more Mil he's worth it. i'd be happy with that january and i'm sure a few others would as well (maybe never know on here lol)

Well he has played all his football in Romania and as we all know their league is not in the worlds elite (EPL, La Liga, Seria A) and so we wont know unless we buy him if he will be good enough but, for a price almost any player is useful. If we can snap him up for cheap at the very least he will hopefully make the other lads playing upfront play better for fear of losing their place and at best he could go onto become a good player. I would try and snap him up for cheaper than Harewood though.
