West Brom left back Paul Robinson is a rumoured target of Martin O'Neill, according to The Birmingham Mail and you know what, I'd be surprised, but not totally unhappy with the idea.

Robinson is a fighter. He likes to win battles and matches and as well as been able to get forward he is, in my opinion, a very good left back.

He's not a Matty Taylor as in forever running the wing, he's certainly more of a traditional left back and if O'Neill is going to play two wingers and three in the middle next year with one man up front, that's actually exactly what you want.

Coincidentally, his first goal for West Brom was against us when he beat Mark Delaney to the ball to score in injury time and earn a point for his team. That is actually the moment that turned me off Mark Delaney.

He's 28 years old and is decent. I'd like to see him in claret and blue but I suspect most wouldn't, only because if I ever say one thing, it's usually against what the general feeling is, but he'd be good for the squad and not expensive.
