Paul McShane from West Brom anyone?

The big story of the day is the new Aston Villa badge; set to be unveiled in about twenty minutes, but for now it's some dodgy rumour.

Paul McShane is a 21-year old Irishman currently at West Brom. He's a defender who started his career at Manchester United. He's played at Walsall and Brighton on loan and joined West Brom in 2006.

He's also played five times for the Republic of Ireland so you've got to fancy he has some talent and he is still young. All the above statistics were taken from Wikipedia, if wrong; blame the one who edited it.

Again, this is a rumour. It could be nothing and it could be something but with the news that Bardsley if back to United next season we know that the manager is looking for at least one new defender.

I think there's better proven talent around.

Abdoulaye Diagne-Faye (Bolton) should be our primary target, methinks.
A few other top-notch potentials include:
Eduardo (Corinthians)
Steven Whittaker (Hibs)
Timmy Simons (PSV)
And there's always the possiblity of just playing Hughes..
