Davis off to Fulham?

This isn't going to happen but yet another Daily Mirror rumour makes the site. Either they've got a new person in who quite likes Villa or they know something we don't.

In case you thought for a second it was either of them, it's neither. All the Mirror are doing is putting one and one together and getting twenty-seven.

They've got Lawrie Sanchez moving for our Steven Davis if he gets the Fulham job full-time. This is just like the Mirror picking Martin O'Neill and a former Celtic player.

Does anyone think that Steven Davis would leave Villa for Fulham? Sanchez might have done okay for Northern Ireland but managing a Premiership team is something completely different.

Fulham, under Sanchez may be relegated, then all the papers will be able to do is try and figure out which players are going to leave a relegated club and which club they are going to; would you have anyone from Fulham?

It's a lot easier managing a team like Northern Ireland who every now and then play England or another big team and are always the underdogs than managing a Premiership team.

I'm thinking about creating a new category for Daily Mirror rumours and calling it 'BS'.

Theres no way he'll be coming to us, we can't attract anybody, and you're right who would you actually want out of any of players if we go down, volz and mcbride are all right, quedre is good enough for the premiership and bullards tipped for england if he ever plays again...but apart from that...

I like Davis and hope he comes good again for us.

I think he would go to Fulham, if they stayed, to play regular first team football under Sanchez. He might only go on loan, but I think he'd take any opportunity to play regularly at the moment and at his age he needs to.
