Vital away win for Villa at Blackburn

I don't think many will be surprised to learn that Aston Villa had won the game before Smiler McCann came on in the 76th minute or that Berger was man of the match with the first goal and then setting up the second for Gabby.

It was an all round decent display from Villa. There are still areas that need work but overall you've got to be happy and a lot of the academy lads played today which was nice, especially when you consider we've still got Moore to come back.

It was good to see Gardner back and Villa really could have won the match by two or three goals although saying that Blackburn could have levelled things in the last few minutes.

A match report will be coming later tonight or maybe even tomorrow but for now I'll just be having a couple of beers and enjoying Saturday night for once.

Just shows McCann is the weakest link in midfield.
