Everton are coming to Villa Park full of confidence and the travelling support will be brimming with expectation. This will not be an easy or pretty game.
The manager wants to play attractive football but judging by his comments today that there might be casualties he possibly knows why we are not.
After watching Steven Davis in midweek I'd like to see him return to the team for this match as I think he's the type of player we need in the middle of the park and after reading the glowing reports about Shaun Maloney against Italy I suspect he'll be starting also.
Everton have only lost one of their last eight matches and are unbeaten in the last four matches away from Goodison. Villa on the other hand are looking for the first three points out of the last five matches.
Martin Laursen may also make a comeback and he appears to be very much part of the managers plans despite his injury ravaged season as he seems to walk straight back into the team when fit. I give him three matches but I also hope for a lot more.
The match is unfortunately on a Monday night so don't expect a huge crows however it would be nice and the club are doing as much as they can to get you in. I think you can buy tickets for a tenner and if you bought tickets for Liverpool and Arsenal you'll have a free ticket somewhere so if you can, get down to Villa Park on Monday night.
My prediction for this match is a big win for Villa. Eventually someone is going to get battered by us and we did it last year against Everton and I reckon we can do it again this time round.
As for more injuries, who starts and Everton team news, you should probably head on over to one of the forums or the BBC. I'm just filling in!
