As far as visitors to this site are concerned Mark Delaney shouldn't be offered a new contract at Aston Villa.
Seventy-two point nine per cent of votes counted opted for the no option on Moaning Mark and nine times out of ten the visitors to this site get it spot on.
Gareth Barry came out last week praising Delaney and as good as said he should be offered a new contract but the general feeling is he's had enough out of this club and is injured too much.
If we were guaranteed that Delaney wouldn't be injured I think most would want him to stay but there has to be a level of common sense employed when offering out these million pound contracts. Delaney is always injured and in my opinion we've got better right backs at the club right now in Bardsley and Mellberg.
If the club offer Delaney a new contract they might as well just throw a huge bag of cash at the Holte End or at the very least announce the reduction in season ticket prices for next season that they're planning.
