According to the Scottish press Shaun Maloney will sing for Aston Villa today and if a deal can't be struck today he'll come int he summer for free.

This might just be last day rumblings but we did predict it back in October last year, still the Daily Record is part of the Mirror Group of newspapers so take it with a huge pinch of salt.

Maloney is a huge talent but is injury prone. However Martin O'Neill knows the player better than most and despite him not getting a proper run in the team under O'Neill he is still young and is still developing.

Will it happen? stay tuned and as soon as we hear anything we'll put it up.
