Surely not: Baros to Chelsea?

This could be one of the most ridiculous things you've ever heard or it will make complete sense to you. I'm going towards the former.

The footballing bible, or Daily Mirror as it's widely known, reckons Chelsea want Milan Baros after being priced out of buying Darren Bent from Charlton. Surely not?

In this beauty here they reckon he's going to Chelsea on loan after Charlton offered Bent to Chelsea for £25m! I've got a huge bag of salt sitting next to me because I'm not sure if I've heard anything more bizarre this season. However, it's a funny old world and you just never know.

Good news, might give us swp in return. i understand this might be a loan deal which would give us bidding power for him, if only til the summer. we might be starting to see o'neills ability to do business and after the 0-0 draw he might have convinced jose baros would be good back up as he didn't look to bad when he came off the bench.

we could end up making money on the player ... if he doesn't score then we could be stuck with him for life ..

it's not as if he wont get chances if he does get a some time playing for them

Didn't you all notice Jose walking off the pitch with him on Tuesday night deep in conversation? Told all my mates on Wednesday that I thought someting might happen.

i thought chelsea already had an expensive striker that sits on the bench and doesn't score goals. i believe his name is shevchenko.

why they would want him is beyond me. but by all means, take him and send SWP while you're at it.

Baros to Chelsea on loan? and why not, at the moment we have a player who is short of confidence and firing blanks in a team which lets face it doesn't give strikers the best service in the world. Why not give him to Chelsea on a 6 month loan deal where he'll have the benefit of finding his scoring boots and getting his confidence back....and best of all once the loan deal ends we can take him back and hopefully he'll be a better player for it!

I think they've been outpriced for Bent, as most clubs inflate their prices for Chelsea. However, I think as MON doesn't necessarily want Baros (I don't think his attitude suits MON's style) he's happy to sell him for a reasonable price to Chelsea or let him go on loan in the hope he plays well and gets noticed by clubs who are willing to buy him (or Baros' ego is willing to let him go to!).

If you are right about the African Cup of Nations then Mourinho might only want a short-term solution, hence why he wants Baros on loan. He knows MON isn't keen on keeping the striker while most other clubs don't have any strikers they want rid of.

hey av jim, your wrong baros is better than any player on aston villa ,which player on that team actually gets asked to go somewhere no one they havent even got taste of a cup baros did with 5 great goals in euro oneil is making a mistake putting him on the bench and if he gets starting lineup i bet he would play better oneil gives him 15 minutes too score and then has the guts to ask why he cant score, whover thinks baros is bad then well they have no right to say that baros is a class player and if he goes to chelsea he will have a nak for scoring goals!not like s**tty aston villa!and o'neil as the coach
