It's quite funny that when a club gets a few quid to spend how all of a sudden they start to get linked to every player under the sun who is available or who might possibly be available.

Today is no different and the man in the frame is non other than former Aston Villa player Peter Crouch. We've had an email in and seen a comment on another post on the site.

Some of us think it was a mistake to let him go in the first place. I never wanted to see him go and I'd love to see him come back!

He never got a proper chance under the previous incumbent and that was a pity. We also know Martin O'Neill likes a big target man so it would fit in with his plans.

I'd love to see Crouch play alongside Spanish U21 star Kepa - wouldn't that be an excellent January!

Why don't you think about Giannakopoulos from Bolton? He had two excellent seasons with Bolton and now he seems to rest on the bench. He missed the opportunity to meet Liverpool last summer and what he needs now is just a change of environment. Perfect choice for right wing. He can exploit effectively Crouch/Bent/Keane/etc...
