| Paul mate, i think Crouch should never have gone, but i dont want to spend big money on him coming back, i want Bent and Defoe/Keane, above all i want to know if we really have the money to spend to compete with the likes of Spurs, Newcastle, Everton etc etc |

| Why would Liverpool care about balancing the books, they are subject to a £450m takeover in Jan, I don't think they will have any worries about selling players... |

| I know that it's all about opinion's, so here's mine. I think Crouch is a bit one dimentional and not consistant enough to take us to where we want to go. For me D Bent would be a definate plus to the current team. I think we need another stiker (as well as Bent) and a Joey Barton type midfielder, a right back and a left back. I know, it's a lot to ask. Maybe we could offer Baros plus cash for Bent as I believe Pardew was interested in him (Baros) when he was at West Ham. It's pretty clear to me that Baros does not want to give his all for us! |

the only definitive comment we've heard from O'Neill is that he wants to add pace to the squad. To me, that would rule Crouch out of his thinking. I suspect any decent player sitting on the bench is being linked with any club out to spend and strengthen. Rumour credibility? 15%. Darren Bent would be a good signing...I'm keeping fingers crossed for David Nugent. |

Be serious, please. Did you see the amount of crosses given to Lurch by his Liverpoo team mates against the 'burn yesterday? I'm not going to lay into Lurch, cos he's a likeable chap, but please, there are better target men than him, much better. I'd rather have Tommy 'nose' Mooney up front than the clown, sorry. Up that Villa! |

| The last thing we need is a big lumbering one dimensional forward especially if we have to pay 4 or 5 times as much as when we sold him. the only players currently good enough for villa are luke, gabby, barry, petrov (when he decides to), Laursen, Melberg and Cahill. The others are average at best. an essential requirement of any top player, apart from pace, is ability on the ball and thats why players like McCann Gardner, Davis, Osbourne will never be good enough to take us where we want to be. McCann can break up play but rarely has the class or composure to find a pass from there. Teams like Arse n Man Ure have so much quality that they don't even require an anchor man/hatchet man in midfield or a target man upfront. I'll never subscribe to a theory that you need certain types of players. we need two quality pacey wingers (please not Milner), ONE proven forward to play alongside Luke or gabby, a right back and i'd go for a GENUINE playmaker who can dictate the pace of a game. I can see MON dispensing with fullbacks altogether if he manages to bring in two wingers given that we have the players to double up in the full back positions i.e barry and melberg, with Barry, Petrov and McCann in a three man central midfield-a genuine 3-5-2 would be very exciting. |

| People who are saying that Crouchy won't score 20+ a season are not looking at the bigger picture. if we could sign him, and Darren Bent, he would'nt need to, Bent can be the main goal scorer, Crouchy would be the perfect foil for him, i have never seen Crouch give the ball away to the opposition cheaply, always gives it to a team mate. even if we dont get Bent. i think we have got a future England international already at villa...LUKIE MOORE |

| I thought Crouch would play for England when he sold him. I don't think he let anyone down in his last season with Villa and since then, he's only got a lot better. I think he'd be a fantastic signing for us. We have small pacey strikers in the likes of Baros, Moore and Agbonlahor. Crouchy would be ideal. |

| Why don't you think about Giannakopoulos from Bolton? He had two excellent seasons with Bolton and now he seems to rest on the bench. He missed the opportunity to meet Liverpool last summer and what he needs now is just a change of environment. Perfect choice for right wing. He can exploit effectively Crouch/Bent/Keane/etc... |
