Defoe, Gera and Bent all for Aston Villa?

It's Sunday so expect lots of rumours but if any of these came true I don't think I'd be that impressed. Don't get me wrong, Defoe is a decent striker but is he that good?
According to The People, £12mn. will be offered for Defoe. The News of the World have mentioned the other two but are they good enough to take us to the next level?
I guess if Martin O'Neill thinks they are then they are but please, Gera? Not thanks. I'd rather have Robbie Keane than Defoe but frankly if Spurs are willing to let either of them go I'd be surprised.

Gera would be a useful addition. He has excellent abilities. He is good in the air ect... Because I'M Hungarian too, it would be great if we sign him, and in addition I can watch all of the Villa matches.
I think Defoe would be a excellent signing. He has proven goalscoring abilities in the premiership and has done well for England when given the chance. If we gave him first team football i think he would flourish. I also think Bent has great potential and with Martin O'neill as boss, these two strikers could become a great partnership. As for Gera, he would be a good addition to our thin squad but not one to take us to the next level.
Gera wouldn't be such a bad signing, the season before last he was awesome for W.B.A and only lost his way once he was injured. As for signings, if we are expecting 'big name' players at Villa Park forget it, MON has a track record of signing players that are not known for their outstanding skills and play, while the top 4 clubs were bringing in massive playes, at Celtic, O'Neill was bringing in players like Lennon and Hartson whom he knew would do a job for him, and he equally knew how to get the best out of them. I'd love to see a player like Defoe at VP, but I think Bent is more of a Martin O'Neill type signing, and I feel he could be as good as Dwight Yorke (pre Jordan) if he joins.....
Stupid comment of the day has to go to the Sunday Mirror though, who have said Randy Lerner has disappeared into the shadows following his buy out of the club, and state that he hasn't done anything for the club, so would that be the same Randy Lerner that put up £4m for Milner, authorished the rebuiling of the Holte Hotel, improved Bodymoor Heath, invited Ron Saunders back to Villa Park and gave fans free coach travel to the Chelsea cup game? That's right Sunday Mirror, Randy has done sweet F.A for us, and has disappeared into the shadows...is David O'Leary writing for them?
I have wanted Bent all along, i think he can only get better and is the type of forward we need, i would prefer Keane to partner him but Defoe would be a very close second choice, i would be very happy indeed with that double signing.
