In a rare day for Aston Villa there have been no links to Tottenham Hotspur although it's still early and I'd still like to see Robbie Keane in claret and blue, wouldn't you?
Anyway, I've read somewhere today that Mark Viduka may be coming in January for £2mn. If Aston Villa pay a penny over £250 for Mark Viduka it will prove my point that the game has gone insane. Don't get me wrong, I quite liked Viduka when he was about 3 stone lighter and eight years younger but not anymore, I'm sorry.
Other news or again speculation, is that Gary Cahill is going to make himself available for the Republic of Ireland. I'm not to sure where this one came from but I'm convinced someone emailed it in or I read it somewhere.
It could be the festive cheer that has got me not remembering but I'll do my best to find a source later.
Quite honestly I couldn't care less what country he or any of the Villa squad play for but I reckon he's got a future in the England team if he was willing to wait a little longer or until second choice Steve is gone.
Not much more going on at the moment but expect a lot more over the next few days as January approaches and maybe even a Spurs rumour or two later on. I'd still like Robbie Keane and maybe a new right back but as long as I get a new PDA for Christmas I'll be a happy chap.

keano will be staying at Tottenham.
You'll never get Keano mate, never never never.... he's a Lilywhite through and through and you would do well to not believe all the paper cr@p circulated about him moving on.
I mean, he misses one game and they link him to all and sundry...
NOT HAPPENING... Viduka is more Villa's level - you should be grateful to be getting a mediocre player such as him, it'd be a step up...
Maybe Gary Cahill would have to be willing to wait as long as Gareth Barry to get into the England sqaud. In my view why should a good talent go to waste. Im from Ireland, big Villa fan & would love to see cahill playing for us.
Steve McClaren has his own blue eyed boys & Stuart Downing isn't fit to shine Gareth Barrys boots. Big up for Gary Cahill!!
You ahve more chance of Roy Keane joining than Robbie Keane, Jol seriously appreciates the lad and with Berbs and Defoe he is plenty happy (forget the Pharoah, he's off sooner than later you Villains interested?) at spurs, it's only that he's injured and that Defoe is scoring that you have even been linked. SOrry.
If villa aim to be to be a top 4 side which is the aim according to mon, then players like kean aint good enough. With all due respect he's not goin to get u 20+ goals a season is he, a decent footballer at best. This is a new era for villa and buying players from spurs isnt the answer.
How good must this site be if tw@t headed Spurs fans keep visiting it so regularly??
Would love to see Keane in a Villa shirt, his movement off the ball is 2nd to none. Viduka would not be a smart move, he's to old and Fat! Think Cahill should wait for an England call up....it will definitely come sooner rather than later!
Here's to an easy 3 points against united.
Up the villa
A decent footballer at the best???? Do you know which Robbie Keane is being talked about. May not get 20+ goals, but then again nor do most attackers. Only two players have scored more than 20 in the last two seasons.... (05/06 Henry / Nistelroy (Keane 3rd w/ 16) + 04/05 Henry/Johnson). And I'm sorry, mate but you just don't have the class to bring in one of those players.
Besides, how are you going to secure fourth spot, when we take you only good player in January. Say goodbye to G. Barry ;)
I've got 2 words for yous "Food Poisoning"
I want Bent and Keane but neither will come in Jan, we might have to wait till the summer, actually i think we wot get much in Jan at all!
Robbie Keane would be a great signing for Villa, but I can't see it ever happening. On the subject of Spurs fans, I love the way they all want rid of Mido now where as he was the 'missing link' as to why Spurs were so bad...what a difference a few weeks makes where they all wanted Jol out!!!
