The Mirror super-reliable sources have come trumps a day early it seems. Sunday is classically the day when you get linked with every player that's had a good game on the Saturday.
Today they reckon it's Darren Bent, Nigel Reo-Coker, Luis Boa Morte and Lucas Neill who are heading to Villa in January.
I'm gonna take it with more than a pinch of salt until I see any of them in a claret and blue shirt. Except Reo-Coker, but that's not realy claret and blue now is it?
Magnificent Gabby: Aston Villa 4 Man City 2
Transfer Window Watch
IN: Curtis Davies, Steve Sidwell, Brad Guzan, Brad Friedel, Nicky Shorey, Luke Young, Carlos Cuellar, James Milner
OUT: Patrik Berger, Scott Carson, Luke Moore, Olof Mellberg, Thomas Sorensen, Shaun Maloney

I will believe it when i see it but i must say that these are the sort of players that Villa should be going for. Ive been calling out for Bent since the start of the season, Reo-Coker would be a dream, Neill is a top class defender and Boa Morte we can let Fulham keep!
i for one wouldnt like to see lucas neill in a villa shirt he is a thug
As usual the daily Mirror are printing what readers send in for a laugh.
They should stick to what they do best, licking Mourinhos backside.
I would happily take Boa Morte. Good technique, strong, excellent finishing, can do things by himself, just what we need. Many see him as dirty, but i dont agree. He is no worse than Ronaldo and many "honest hardtackling" english midfielders. Difference from those honest boys is that Boa Morte has the skill to get the attention and thus more stick
Lucas Neill would be an excellent pick up. Very solid defender.
