Freddy Eastwood: Parked up and not moving

He plays for Southend, lives in a caravan and is a Romany gypsy. He has played 83 times for Southend and scored 45 goals.

It's a rumour started by the Daily Mail but it's getting a mention simply because all you can ask a striker to do is score goals and it appears he does this.

He started off in the West Ham youth system but didn't break through. That's not necessarily a bad thing as I believe that's where John Terry started although I may be wrong.

Anyway, first rumour of the day. Possibly something else later, maybe along the lines of David O'Leary to get another job in management. I know, highly unlikely, but I'm trying to fill space.

He'll be playing against Manchester United tonight, so he's got a chance to make a name for himself and you've got a chance to watch him.

Once again, lot's more information available on Freddy at Wikipedia.

I did an article on him and his gipsy ways a few weeks ago. The result of his appeal to the Government is due any day - if he wins he can keep his mobile home where it is, if he loses Basildon Council could evict him. Any good green belt land on the outskirts of Birmingham? He can certainly score goals...

World class teams spend big money on potential. I would rather see Freddy Adu, once courted by milan at the age of 8, the kid is unreal and would suit our club's aim of being both recognised globally and achieving great things on the pitch.
Martin if are listening.
