Yawn! Javier Saviola linked once again with a move to Villa Park

You've heard us say it before and you'll hear us say it quite a few times in the future, we love reading The Fiver. We liked it better with Georgina Turner but it is getting better.

Today, Paul Doyle and Sean Ingle are linking Aston Villa with a move for Javier Saviola. Is it that they just want to continue their daily link for Martin O'Neill and they've just trawled through the Aston Villa archive or do they know something we don't?

Saviola is a FC Barcelona player, who may or may not be out on loan. He's played 101 games for the Spanish side scoring 44 goals. He also played alongside Juan Pablo Angel at River Plate, where he made his name as a lethal finisher, scoring 44 goals in 86 appearances.

We'd love to see Saviola at Villa Park and you'd think Juan Pablo could make a call and put in a good word but we just don't think it's going to happen.

We don't think it's going to happen but we believe if Martin O'Neill wanted him the little Argentinian would be hard pressed to say no.

Still, it's a nice idea. Up the Villa.

MON was on BBC Radio WM on friday basically saying that he no longer rates Saviola,
so it looks like lazy journalism to me.

We will have beckham come the end of january. He will not go to the mls as he wants to play for england again, so villa has to be the one for him as he can then achieve both his interests thanks to our chairman who will be marketing the club strongly to america in the coming years.

I second the David Beckham comment there..what an awesome signing he would be. Full house every week money rolling in through shirt sales, expert delivery from the right. It would be fantastic
