I'm not quite asking to bring back Sven, but I doubt we'd have got one point from two games with the hapless Swede in charge.
For the second game running England were poor. Simple as.
Steve McClaren's new era looks more like Sven's era without pretty boy Beckham.
McClaren tried some dodgy formation again today when the best option was to stick to a 4-4-2.
Rooney and Lampard are not on form and to play them game after game just proves he hasn't got the balls to drop them or the tactical ability to have a plan B.
The only reason he had the balls to drop Beckham was because he wanted to prove a point that he wasn't just another Sven. Only it seems he is.
It'll take drastic - or maybe even really simple - measures to restore England to winning ways, but I'm not sure he's the right man.
I think everyone knows the right man for the job is now at Villa and to be honest I'd rather Villa had Martin O'Neill than England. And maybe some of the players know who and where the right man is.
Under McClaren we beat Greece (not a patch on the less than great side that won the European Championships 2 years ago) and put in a poor performance against an Andorran side that would struggle in the Sunday league I play in. The only reason we scored 6 goals is because they shouldn't even be playing in our domestic professional league, let alone an international competition.
I think the FA have - again - made a mistake with Second choice Steve, but I'd be glad to be perfectly wrong.
