Aston Villa show Chelsea how the game should be played

I had the good fortune to chat with the Chelsea manager before the match and he was full of praise for Martin O'Neill and Aston Villa; there is a belief in the footballing community that Aston Villa are a massive club and some I believe think, that Aston Villa are now a threat.

Aston Villa got a point today but they should have had all three and Roman Abramovich thinks the same despite owning Chelsea. If you meet a Chelsea fan that disagrees with me he clearly doesn't know football and is just a follower of fashion.

The Chelsea goal looked bad before it went in. John Terry clearly went into Sorenson but the referee decided to do nothing about it. As soon as you allow players that freedom on the keeper you know something is going to happen and today it was a goal against Villa.

We saw in the earlier match how referees can be so wrong and we saw it again this afternoon. My belief is that a referee should call a foul when he knows it's a foul, not when he thinks it is or isn't 100% sure.

Today Chelsea got lucky and I don't blame the referee because he wasn't 100% but Liverpool were unlucky as the keeper was atleast a yard from handball but the linesman gave it.

It's almost as if the referee today did a good job by not giving the free kick on the foul against Sorenson but it does make you think that a 4th referee might not be such a bad thing.

After Chelsea went one up in the 3rd minute Villa pretty much took control of the game and should have won, in my humble, Aston Villa supporting opinion. Villa were the better team by a country mile despite having to withstand pressure from a quality Chelsea side in the second half.

Overall we had a great team performance. Luke Moore came off early and Milan Baros maybe did enough to secure a starting place. Gabby was superb and scored the equaliser. McCann and Petrov were superb.

My only issue would be the Chelsea manager; Mourinho is a twat. He thinks that Chelsea should have won and if I had spent the amount of money Mourinho had spent I would think they should have won also but this just goes to prove he is a talentless monkey.

Chelsea have 16 points from 7 and Villa have thirteen. Aston Villa are also still to be beaten; I'm very happy. Up the Villa.
