Jose Mourinho has complete faith in ?30,000,000.00 signing Andriy Shevchenko despite only one goal in his five games for Chelsea.
The thing is, he has to have complete faith in him as nobody else is going to spend ?30,000,000.00 on a thirty year old striker, happy birthday by the way Mr Shevchenko.
This is a prime example that Mourinho has purchased success and that if you took the money away Chelsea would probably fail. It could also be a case that the money is just slowing down the failure that most managers see after the end of the first season and new manager syndrome.
Shevchenko will score goals but he is past his prime. Chelsea will, if they are very very lucky get one good season out him but I suspect they won't.
