It's been coming for the past few days but Stiliyan Petrov has today signed a four year deal with Aston Villa.

Manager Martin O'Neill has wanted the player since day one and this now opens the way for the manager to concentrate on another signing or two before the deadline tomorrow.

Petrov is the captain of Bulgaria and his nickname is Stan. Welcome aboard Mr Petrov.
