Sure enough, Neville isn't giving up on Aston Villa or the press

As if predicting it earlier wasn't spectacular enough sure enough Michael Neville has spoken to the press again about losing out on his battle to gain control of Aston Villa plc by saying it's not over yet.

The lifelong Villa fan says "This is not over by a long way - everyone else now has 21 days to act.

"I have been working on this for 11 months now, all unpaid, and I am not going to give up the ghost now."

These are clearly the words of a man that doesn't know what's happening and why do we want to know if he's paid or not; are we supposed to feel sorry for him?

I'm sure should he be able to borrow enough money to table an actual bid and not just talk about it, they'll be something in it for him. I am really struggling to understand what this man is up to especially as he says he has the money but he's still not making an official offer.

If Neville is a 'lifelong Villa fan' then he should do what is best for Aston Villa and not comment on what will never happen. If, however he is serious then he should table a bid and let everyone see how he plans to finance the bid, what his plans are for the future and who would be brought in to manage the club.

There are 21 days but Neville has been talking about making a bid for a long time. If he's going to actually make one then why doesn't he?

I for one would be happy with Mr Lerner taking control of Aston Villa as he has a background of managing successful sporting companies. What experience do Neville, Padfield or Still have of running sporting companies?
