Stilian Petrov will be an Aston Villa player by the start of the Premiership season and if we are to believe a reliable source, the deal could be done and dusted in time for the Bulgarian international to play in the last match of the pre-season tour tomorrow night.

It is believed Petrov has agreed to join Aston Villa and a fee has been agreed with Celtic. All that remains is for the player to sign and attend a medical.
