Barry off to Spurs resurfaces

We were fairly confident that this rumour had died a death as quickly as it had begun but it's come back; maybe this time to haunt us.

The 'early doors' Fiver are reporting that David O'Leary is after Lee McCulloch but only if the Barry to Spurs deal for ?3mn. completes.

First off, ?3mn. would be a steal and second Doug Ellis shouldn't allow O'Leary to sell one of the clubs assets as he's not likely to be in the job come October; with a little luck that is.

Barry supported Spurs when he was young and probably carries with him a soft spot for the club. You can see Spurs winning stuff soon under Jol and nobody could blame Barry for wanting to leave if O'Leary is what we're going to get lumbered with next season.

We don't want Barry to leave and we don't think he will but if he did it would be another notch on the David O'Leary bed post of cock-ups.
