While we agree what happens in training is important we don't think Berson was purchased, sorry, chased across the South of France for an entire summer because of what O'Leary had seen or heard of him in training. He was purchased because of his performances on the pitch.

So why was he never given a proper run in the team?

O'Leary clearly cocked up the Crouch situation so for the 11% of you that voted for Smiler, why do you think he's not cocked this one up also?

He has cocked it up and it's clear to every one that he has. It's clear to all his ex-players that don't want to play with him and it's clear to most Aston Villa fans.
