I was rather impressed with Gabby last night, not for the first time this season, and thought he was easily the best striker for England. I think he has a big future ahead of him and John Terry agrees with me.
According to the BBC, Cardiff are looking to loan our new Didier Agathe, nippy winger Wayne Routledge. Routledge is required to cover for the injury of former Villain Peter Whittingham.

Sims, Lynn, Aldis, Crowther, Dugdale, Saward, Smith, Sewell, Myerscough, Dixon (c), McParland.
2008 has been a cruel year for the heroes of 1957. Jimmy Dugdale passed away in March,
followed a week later by Les Smith. Now, in November, Peter Aldis has gone to join them in the Holte End in the sky.

A few years ago I used to get wound up quite easily. Actually I still do, but these days, I usually like to sit on it a few days before commenting, but I'm not today because Neil Ashton at the Daily Mail has wound me up.
He's wound me up because of his weekly column, called Ash Wednesday. Today he's saying that Gabby shouldn't be in Germany and that he shouldn't have an international career any more, after the misunderstanding over Gabby playing for the U21's last year.

Last Saturday was a fantastic result. We outplayed Arsenal and beat them playing football - there was no luck about it. In fact, if anyone was lucky, Arsenal were, that we didn't score more.
But, that was last weekend. This weekend we have the champions coming to play and it will be different. Different because they're going to come wanting the three points and may very well get it.

Yesterday was a fantastic result, possibly the best under Martin O'Neill, but we've got to move on and look to next weekend. As much as I'd love yesterday to be the match that began everything, we'll not know for sure until next Saturday and the chances are it wasn't.

Curtis Davies, Ashley Young, Gabby Agbonlahor and Gareth Barry are all in the England squad to face Germany next week.
I don't remember the last time we had four in the squad but no doubt someone will remind me below but it's testament to the good work Martin O'Neill is doing at the club.

Nobody played badly today but Gabby is my man of the match as he scored both the goals and took them both extremely well and playing 4-5-1, in my opinion, suits him.
The first came from an Ashley Young cross and he hit it in with his head, his second came with ten minutes to go and it was on the break as Arsenal were chasing the game - he slotted it past the Arsenal keeper with real composure.

It would be easy for me to comment on the lack of consistency Arsenal have displayed this season but I really can't, as I haven't seen all their games. I can only really go on the fact that they're a great team that should be better placed than third, or probably fourth when Manchester United win their game in hand, only three points ahead of us.

The Barry saga over the summer ran and ran and it actually became quite tedious. It is in fact still quite tedious, but also quite interesting at the same time. How many now would say 'yes please' to £12mn. for Barry?
It doesn't matter though, it is quite clear the player wants to leave - he said as much in the News of the World and back then, there was "no going back" and he hasn't come out and said anything different.
