You probably guessed it but this is about the Cameroon international Eric Djemba Djemba.

Purchased last January from Manchester United for ?1.35m, he was brought in according to manager David O'Leary, for this season.

A look back to Spurs

With all the speculation surrounding a possible takeover of Aston Villa, David O'Leary probably thinks he has gotten off lightly after another poor result at the weekend.

Okay, a point isn't the worst but at home and against Spurs, I wanted all three, especially after the result from Monday night and because I think we have the squad to beat Spurs.

Aston Villa takeover?

I have a feeling this is all I'm going to comment on this week but speculation is intense.

In the City the share price is everywhere. As of 10.00am it had risen by 24.43% but at 10.20am it had come back down to 9.02% above Friday's close.

However the general feeling is something is about to happen. More news, speculation and opinion as we get it.

Would a Russian be good for Aston Villa?

In my opinion the answer is yes but many of you are a little sceptical about a Russian tycoon coming to Villa Park.

Firstly, those of you who have visited or spent time in Russia will know the rich in Russia are rich and the poor are poor. The really rich people in Russia, i.e. those that have ?60mn. to spend on a football club, are really filthy rich.

Rallying Cries: This time Barry
Written by Damian

When will Aston Villa understand that the vast majority of us do not want to read the same garbage week in week out from their web site.

If Villa lose the next week you are pretty much guaranteed a rallying cry. Last season I lost count of how many we had and it's already started this year.

David O'Leary: My hero
We didn't mean to stir this all up, but since the football tip earlier we've had quite a few emails in supporting David O'Leary, although we are getting more in agreeing than disagreeing.

Aston Bridgwater, a big David O'Leary fan by the looks of things, sent this in 'I respect your viewpoint however, totally disagree.

I think that O'Leary is definitely the man for Villa. I feel that we play a good brand of football that is played on the deck, is attacking and one where we press teams all over the park, therefore fitness plays a huge part.

Football Tip for O'Leary: Get a result against Spurs
Written by Damian
Friday, 16 September 2005
We're thinking about making this a regular article as I'm confident David O'Leary is going to need all the help he can get if he is to survive the axe Doug Ellis is sharpening under his desk.

The tip we want to give David O'Leary for tomorrow is 'Villa beat Spurs'.

Drop McCann for Hendrie please
Written by Damian
Wednesday, 14 September 2005
I've had enough of Gavin McCann and believe Lee Hendrie should be picked ahead of him for the match against Spurs this weekend, playing alongside Steven Davis.

Many will know I've never rated McCann. I fail to see what he offers a team who want to play, as David O'Leary says 'a high tempo game'.

When will O'Leary take responsibility

Tuesday, 13 September 2005
I've read a lot of excuses today about the West Ham result and I've even read that David O'Leary has 'blasted his players'.

I'd really like to know when is David O'Leary going to start to take some of the blame for these poor performances. Afterall, if it's a win or something good has happeneed he is first in line to take the praise.

Who is the Aston Villa manager?

I am lost for words but fortunately for you lot I wrote quite a bit down last night when I was watching the match.

First things first, I'm saying this because the more I say it the sooner others will start to see it; David O'Leary has to go otherwise we will never get better.
