Man U have done what Chelsea do now for years but on a smaller scale. I dont hate Chelsea, the other big boys do because they just came along and did it out of the blue. How dare a club not challenging for much invest huge sums of money on some quality players. I hate it when people say Chelsea have brought whatever they win because so have 99% of the clubs in europe. Man U or Chelsea they are both the same, SAF had a great side once that was made from his youth but we will never see that again in the PL. Since that side he has spent alot of money on other players, doing just the same as Chelsea.

The only way we will see a fair league is if we introduce wage caps or spending caps. That way no one club could buy all the best players. It will never happen because the men at the top will lose money but oh well. - the_flabster

I just hope the Blues stay. Actually I would want everyone other than Derby to stay but as they say, all good things have to end some day. - Aravind

I agree it is a bore. I agree with what Harry Redknapp said, "there will be a day when the league is 20 billionaires scrapping it out with one another". It already is. Then you have the top four that have players like Sidwell, Wright Phillips, Crouch, The entire Arsenal bench, Liverpools Spanish armada etc sitting on the bench doing nothing. These players could start for most teams. There has never been a bigger gap from the top 4 to the middle, and then from the middle to the shite at the bottom. The only thing we can hope for these days is that we qualify for eufa, at least we will see our team play a couple more times in the season. - Leroy

Here's the solution. Sepp Bladderballs comes in and orders all teams to terminate contracts with all of their players. Each team is allowed to re-establish a contract with 5 of their former players. Only 3 of those may have played in European competitions the past year. Then you can have a mix about with the players. All players are worth £0 and must choose the club they want to buy as in terms of manager quality and training facilities as all players will be paid the same wage, £1,000 per week. All teams are limited to 25 players, 5 of which must be classed as reserve players and used only in an injury crisis.

That's about how extreme you're going to have to be to sort out this league. But wouldn't it be just great?! ;D - Dizzy Mugs

I agree with most of this but feel a lot more positive about the league. Man u spent a long time and a lot of money getting to the position they are in. In time we can challenge the top four and are going the right way about it, I only have to think about the difference to Villa now from three seasons ago. Wherever we finish this season, I'm feeling very positive about next year and believe we will surprise quite a few people. MON now knows what he needs to do in the transfer market and I believe is very determined to get on with it. We might not get loads of really big names but whoever he gets in will play better than we all expect.

This season has been a big step up and the next will be even better. - panchovilla

The premier league is becoming increasingly boring. If man utd win or Chelsea what difference does it make to the last 10 years? Then next season they just do it all again and it will be 1 of the top 4, theey may as well take it in turns. - taglor

I agree, blues should have done everything they could to keep Steve Bruce, it really is an easy 6 points :-)

They've really gone a messed it up this time :-)

It is *hit really, its getting to the point where the top 4 , Rangers , Celtic, and the top 2 or 3 in France / Germany might as well form their own league. Even if we spent 120mil which is what we would need to break the top 4 and stay challenging, Man u, Chels etc would just spend the same and get better players. - villa rob
