nan was a fan - Are you really the elusive, evil, mastermind nemesis of Batman.... 'the riddler'????
Think Mon will put this right and its too soon to be calling for his head but it is F^%$ing shameful to lose to sunderland at home.
Look at it this way
Fulham need a win - No worries villa are coming this weekend
Sunderland need first away win of the season - No problem, villa park next week
Boro need a lifeline - Wahey villa next
Its so crap to lose vital points this way
Still to come, Bolton, Derby, wigan and Blues
I can see the headlines now, Savage sinks villans......or One eck of a win
Sigh - Thom

Hello, I'm from the Rosy Tinted Brigade.

Let's do a little quiz.

1. Are you drinking enough water?
2. Do you get enough sex?
3. Do you try to avoid taking too many drugs?

If the answer to all of the above is 'Yes' and you're still very very cross about the football scores go visit your local GP he will guide you through the next steps. - nan was a fan

Comments Problem

I think the problem is your bookmark?
you have bookmarks ya logged IN page
Just write ya message, THEN LOG OUT
Then read the comments ?????????????

hope that helps

Oh yeah SuttonVillan u sound like a faggot, im b6 boy i changed to GOLDIE 7 cus off some mug on here callin himself b6 warrior, dont get it twisted, we can write what we feel?

Their are better sides in the PREMIER LEAGUE better than villa

1 - Everton (good solid team with prospects)
2 - Spurs (not scared to changed, very entertaining DONT HATE)
3 - Portsmouth (how did dis happen)
4 - Man City (startin to become the faves against US, remember its city not united)

Remember the top 4 also, this means that ASTON VILLA FC are 9 or 10 biggest club in the P.L, thats so crap

When is it gonna be our turn to win something or go somewhere, u know, so dont come on here and say we should be patient, give oneil time or its just a bad run, Nothin has really changed since gregory left???

I think its actually got worse

when were we in europe last?
when have we had a decent cup run? (Barnsley, havant & water)

Even our own club fobbes us off, (weather, entertain football) They even put up fake tranfer info to get us all.
With United beatin liverpool 3 - 0, how are villa and carson gonna do, im gettin worried?

Cheers damian for telling all the arses why to go, sunderland beat villa, i feel sick

If u look back under b6 boy i did say out of a possibe 30 points for offer (10 games left) im predictin 12 points??? REMEMBER

We might not even get that, its all oneil fault

In America it's rare for the coach to also be the major decision-maker in regards to player personnel. Perhaps our American owners should recognize this and let MON focus on what he does best - getting the most out of the players on the pitch. If Villa have all this money than I see no reason why a signing specialist (we call them General Managers in the States) wouldn't help the team immensely. - AmericanVillan

Have we all gone mad here? I agree that recent performances have been well below par but have we forgotten what we have achieved and some of the fine displays we have produced this season? winning plaudits from many pundits and neutrals. MON only brought the likes of KNIGHT in to the team as cover for the likes of DAVIES, who is top pedigree. With such a small squad MON has been restricted in his options and often has to play players out of position, however, he has not been shy in wielding the axe when necessary. I do believe his primary fault was being naive in the transfer market and was reluctant to splash out 'silly' money for average players. He is aware now that clubs have to literally 'pay the price' for decent players. LERNER has been true to his word since taking over the club which has seen record attendances at VP. I honestly believe that come next season we will have drafted in some real quality to help progress us in to europe. The teams above us are well established (bar pompey) and have had years and years to get where they are now along with unlimited finances. LONDON, MANCHESTER and LIVERPOOL are also much more cosmopolitan than Birmingham despite its recent face lift. We are ahead above the likes of SPURS and NEWCASTLE who have had significantly longer to assemble a squad and had masssive financial injections and achieved naff all. I hear some of your posts saying WHY CANT WE GET THE LIKES OF BENT, KEANE, DEFOE, MARTINS, OWEN, VIDUKA ETC...Why are they so fucking great? What success have they brought to their clubs? Football is a team game and I trust in MON to build a team with players who firstly want to wear the shirt and secondly want to be part of a winning formula; unfortunately it does take a few years to get it right, and not just a short fix. If we are so shite, why has CAPELLO picked so many Villa stars for his squad? - Ipbopmalik

Let's have a little perspective here. This is our Christmas slump come 3 months later than in previous years. It is true that there is a lot of poor play in recent games and the lack of change in the team is a worry, particluarly playing Gabby when he is so clearly lacking form. But think back to what we had 2 years ago: this would have been an average performance and so everyday that there would have been no invective against O'leary on this scale. The problem stems from a lack of transfer activity and a small squad with few options so no way to change things. All in all we are a lot better off than then in every way I can think.
We need better defenders and moe attcking options on the bench but thank god we are under Martin with a future to look to rather than the backtracking of the years before.
I said that under Martin we should aim for 8th to 13th in season one (achieved), 6th to 10th in season 2 (likely) 4th to 6th in season 3 (yet to be seen but some judicious buying will make that possible).
Cahill was a mistake, true, but could you see him in a European team pushing for international honours replacing Terry or ferdinand. The answer is no so he had to move on. The timing was unfortunate but after another 12 months of bench warming I doubt we'd get 5 million for him. Same for Davies -is he still worth 4 million? Isn't Carew a major improvement over Baros? Martin's buying may be eye-brow raising but his selling is very clever. - opal archer

Bad result yesterday for Pompey. They should sack Redknapp.
Everton drew pushing for Europe. Moyes out.
Spurs are down in mid-table. Ramos is a joker.
City started well but now they are in freefall. Eriksson's had his chance he's a loser.
Benitez..Benitez,, where's the title? Out NOW.

Goldie 7- has made a great point...see point 4 for the best example of the GREAT MON--- He has sold better players than we have kept, i don't know about you but Cahill vs Knight springs to mind..How about Davis for Routledge?.. - vogra

Shanks, ur talking sh*t mate, have you read what all us fans are saying..are we all..blind , O'Neill has brought in stability, i give you that, but what else?? Bulls*it waste of space signings..he signs Routledge, and now in MARCH comes out and says.." he has no confidence" thats fair enough, but to say he can't beat a man..HE'S A FU*KING WINGER, IF YOU CAN'T BEAT A MAN THEN GIVE UP.. MON has no ambition, and is taking us all for c^nts
I see Marcelo Lippi (probably not spelt his name right so i apologise) wants a job in the Premiership, and if anybody wants to trash this guy then get into the real world. - vogra

SuttonVillan

i'm sure after coming on here and posting about poor spelling and grammar that the spelling mistake in your comment was on purpose

as for overreaction, i dont think it's an over reaction that people are pissed off. this is 2 points from a possible 12 after THE CLUB started talking about european football

the club are setting expectations to sell tickets and not delilvering - the supporters have a right to be pissed offe

on one hand we've got that krulak fella telling us to remember the five year plan and on the other hand we've got martin o'neill telling us there is no 5 year plan - who do we believe?

i've said this now since martin o'neill arrived but he's got long enough from me to make it right - lets just hoe the funds are provided to bring in real quality because the same type of player won't be accepted this summer by some - Damian

It was dire, very dire but, this happens from time to time. I think we are better off than the last few years under o'Leary etc. What is bothering me now is the players we're being linked with. Jimmy Bullard for 3M anyone? Oh and a 17 year old who has just broke into Crystal Palaces first team. I really think the club ought to make a statement on how much is going to be invested next season for players, either we got money or we ain't. - Oscars Arse

MON is the best man manager in the league, but the worst man finder. Nobody could get more out of these players as they are so average and he has to carry the can for that as he bought the worst ones! I'd seriously consider a director of football as he doesn't have the transfer market knowledge neccesary to improve us. - nhuggy
